Mr. Lu Guoliang, Founder of Heibao Machinery
In 1985, Mr. Lu Guoliang, then a bicycle mechanic in his early twenties, noticed that his family, who cultivated wood ear fungus, spent long hours each day manually filling fungus cultivation bags at their farm. The work was backbreaking and often required overtime. Observing the inefficiencies and significant inaccuracies in bag-filling quantities inherent in this manual process, he began to develop, in his spare time outside of his repair work, a semi-automatic mushroom-bagging machine. To his surprise, this innovation relieved his family of the arduous, costly, and inconsistent quality problems associated with manual wood ear cultivation. Soon after its introduction, the machine was purchased by other growers, quickly gaining a reputation among local farmers and prompting a flood of advance orders. It was only later that Mr. Lu learned that his device was, in fact, the nation’s first semi-automatic mushroom-bagging machine.
Thanks to the exceptional performance of this equipment, word spread quickly—first from one person to ten, then from ten to a hundred—and orders poured in. Fungus growers across the province began placing purchases, prompting Mr. Lu Guoliang and his family to decide to establish an edible-fungus-equipment manufacturing plant: Zhangzhou Xiangcheng District Heibao Edible-Fungus Machinery Processing Factory. And just like that, a specialized manufacturer of edible-fungus processing equipment was born—a true miracle.
Since its inception with the first bagging machine, Heibao Machinery has continuously invested in research and development to meet evolving customer needs. Today, the company offers comprehensive turnkey bagging and bottling production lines, along with a range of auxiliary equipment, and holds more than ten invention patents. What began as an effort to alleviate the arduous labor of family farming has now grown into a remarkable success story for Heibao Machinery.
