1. The high-speed rotating comb-like structure breaks down and loosens clumps of material, effectively dispersing hardened lumps and large agglomerates that form after fermentation and spontaneous piling. It eliminates compaction, transforms dense material into a loose, fluffy state, increases porosity, ensures adequate oxygen supply during the mycelial colonization phase, promotes uniform nutrient consumption by the mycelium, and prevents issues such as slow mycelial growth, oxygen deficiency leading to stunted development and “suffocation” of the culture, and even burnout of the mycelium caused by overly compacted substrate.
2. During the crushing and loosening process, uniform mixing of the materials is achieved simultaneously, resulting in a more even distribution of different components. This eliminates localized variations in nutrient content, pH, and moisture levels, thereby reducing the risk of localized spoilage, the proliferation of unwanted microorganisms, and uneven mycelial growth, and ultimately enhancing the overall consistency of the batch.
